Sneak preview of a single player mission
Posted September 29th, 2009 by Bert HekmanI’ve been announcing on my blog that we are busy working on the single player. We’re still working on the design, but I’ve also created a test mission in the development version.
I’ll give you guys a sneak preview in the from of two screenshots: One of the test mission and one of the mission selection screen. Both are still in alpha and are bound to change over time.
Check them out after the jump!

A preview of what perhaps could be a mission in the game

This seems fun, I didn’t play against a human player yet.
Have you decided what license to tape to your code and art?
There is this bunny death match game… Can’ remember the name, but maybe you were inspired by it? 🙂

PS: perhaps this sprite can be developed further for your game.

The game is released under the GPL v.2 license. The artwork and music are both CC. Thanks for the feadback we really appriciate it. The single player version is far from finished but whenever we have some spare time we will try and develop it further.

Today I first time played it against a friend, It was much more fun than I had expected (well, i finally figured out the controls – that helped.)
You should include the license info in the next release. What cc license do you mean? This one http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ ?

Ah, I would have preferred the license I named.
Anyways, I made a gameplay video of my first pvp matcch. Sorry for the slow start, we had to figure out what the controls are (and my xbox360 controller would control both of the players 😀 oh, and a/v are not synched…. lame)

You can redefine the controls and select which joypad to use in the option menu. Also I noticed you did not duck very much. In that last level you played (“Duck ‘n’ hunt”), you can slide under through those small holes by running and pressing down, just before the hole. Then you’ll slide under it and you’ll need to hold jump to get out of there.
Here is a video of us three playing that level: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t1XIMQIWvtA
